Royal Icing

Ingredients:
4 cups sifted powdered sugar
6 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons meringue powder

Beat together powdered sugar, water, and meringue powder in a large bowl with an electric mixer until soft peaks form, 7 to 10 minutes or until icing begins to lose shine. Use at once. While decorating, keep remaining icing covered with plastic wrap to keep it from drying out.
