These treats may look like lumps of coal, but they’re surprisingly delicious.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter, plus more for buttering the pan
4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 13.4-ounce package chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
Make sure you crush the cookies and measure the marshmallows before you melt the butter, so you can mix everything together quickly before it starts to cool.
Butter a 9×9-inch pan. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until melted, two to three minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the crushed cookies. Mix until the cookies are well coated. Press the cookie mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan using a buttered spatula or waxed paper to keep from sticking. Cool completely, then cut into small squares.
